    Favorite WW2 game and why?

Pretty self explanatory... mine would have to be the original call of duty, it was so revolutionary, had amazing graphics for the time and exceptional AI. Probably the best experience ever. Oh. And it basically followed Band of Brothers, the best series ever.

    Red Orchestra.
And it still is for me, tho I don't play it anymore.

I bought red orchestra over the summer, its a pretty fun game (although very buggy on my system for some reason). My only complaint is sometimes the realism is a bit ridiculous, like rebolting your rifle?? Like any battle hardened soldier is going to forget to do that after each shot, all it does it make you create a double click when you fire your rifle. lol

    Still a great game.

RO for me too. The longevity of that game really prooves its worth IMO. It is still going strong to this day, and they just released an update for it too!

It pretty much changed my whole view of what games can do and how they should be done. It also converted me to a realism buff.

I also enjoy Resistance and Liberation. Even though it's in alpha, it is a very fun mod and has a lot of potential. This is the game I usually play, its a nice change of pace from playing RO for years.

I'm glad we have a lot of RO players here! I think this mod will be heading down that round and its good for ppl to know what I'm talking about.

Well, concerning RO and bolting you don't seem to know what you'r talking about
    Just kidding.

Let me explain why manual bolting is very important.
It all has to do with close quarter melee-fighting.
When fighting close-quarters you often don't have the time to wait for the animation to finish after your first shot. In those situations it's always: shoot-stab. Shoot-autorebolt-stab/shoot results in your death because smg's kill you during the rebolting animation.

With the mod Resistance & LIberation there even was a small rebellion when they decided to put in auto-bolting. If you'r an offensive boltplayer like me, then autobolting is a true handicap.

I do hope Tracktion Wars will have manual bolting, but that's a bit off-topic.

Very interesting, i did not know thats what it was for, makes sense. Perhaps we could include some kind of "optional" rebolting or bolt yourself

CoD-series (1,2 and 5) and MoH are strong candidates for the best WW2-game(s) in my mind.
Both had some awesome graphics at the time and I simply love bolt-action rifles(!)

I had some great time playing those and I'm playing CoD4 (and 5) on multiplayer all the time; two very good and fun, multiplayer games!

(CoD 5 = you'll get dogs to attack, haha)

Cod 1,2 were great games. I can't take cod 5, its just horrible in almost every aspect. Sounds/maps/detail/models/voice acting (except keifer bc he is the man).
